When is check-in?
Personal check-in is possible daily from 14:00 to 19:00. If you’re arriving later, please call 07531 9440-0; the self check-in machine is available around the clock. Have your booking number handy.
When is check-out?
Check-out is in the morning, up to 11:00. Late check-out until 12:00 is free of charge on request, depending on occupancy; after that we charge €25 for each hour started.
Can I park for free?
Yes. There’s a free underground garage with two wallboxes up to 11 kW and more free parking spaces by the building. If you leave your car at the hotel during a cycling tour and book the first and last night at the Volapük, you pay €10 per night and vehicle.
Are dogs allowed?
Dogs and other pets are only allowed after checking with us first. Please talk to reception by phone or email before you book.
What does the hotel offer for children?
Extra beds and cots are available; please tell us the children’s ages when you book. The restaurant has a children’s menu, and right behind the house there’s a large public playground.
How much is the tourism and climate protection levy?
The city of Konstanz charges 5.6% on the gross room price. In return, guests receive the Bodensee Card West.
Is the hotel smoke-free?
Smoking is not allowed in any of the buildings or rooms; we also ask you not to smoke on the balconies. There are smokers’ benches outside by the entrance, and smoking is permitted on the restaurant terrace.
When is the sauna open?
It’s included for hotel guests. The area is normally open daily from 16:00 to 21:00, possibly earlier when the weather’s bad. Sauna towels are available at reception, bathrobes for a €5 laundry fee and bath slippers for €2.
When is breakfast served?
The breakfast buffet is served daily from 07:00 to 10:00. You’ll find the opening times and reservations for Restaurant Litzel’s at restaurant-litzels.de.
What are the cancellation terms?
As a rule, you can cancel free of charge up to the 8th day before arrival. The hotel will let you know about any exceptions, especially in the low season, when you book. What counts are the terms of your specific rate.
When can I reach reception?
In the low season reception isn’t always staffed; in summer it’s open from 08:00 to 20:00. Hotel reservations can be reached by phone daily from 08:00 to 19:00.
